Throughout the day, the three major stock indexes of A shares fluctuated and rose in the afternoon. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.34%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.43%, and the Chinext price index rose 0.93%. The turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets was 477.3 billion yuan, which decreased by 18.6 billion yuan from the previous day, hitting a new low since December 24, 2019. Over 3700 stocks in the two cities rose. On the market, oil and gas and major infrastructure concept stocks performed well. The photovoltaic and lithium battery sectors rose sharply in the afternoon, while the environmental protection concept rebounded after fluctuations. COVID-19 drugs and baijiu continued to weaken.
In terms of ETF, cross-border ETFs were strong throughout the day. The Invesco Great Wall Fund Nasdaq Technology ETF and E Fund CSI USA 50 ETF rose by 2.78% and 2.05% respectively. The latest premium rates were 11.83% and 3.95%, respectively. Japanese stocks rose by more than 3%. Huaxia Fund Nikkei ETF and ICBC Credit Suisse Fund Nikkei ETF rose by 2.43% and 2.19% respectively. The lithium battery sector rose in the afternoon, with E Fund Energy Storage Battery ETF up 1.91%.
Soybean futures fell, with soybean meal ETF down by 3.48%. The baijiu sector weakened, and the liquor ETF fell by 1.22%. The pharmaceutical sector fell back, with both the healthcare ETF and the Guotai CSI Biomedicine ETF falling more than 1%.
