Minetech Resources Berhad ("Minetech" or the "Company") has announced a significant new contract win through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Coral Evergreen Sdn Bhd ("Coral Evergreen"). The company has been awarded a Letter of Award (LOA) by Puncak Utara Sdn Bhd ("Puncak Utara") for a major project valued at RM36.79 million.

The contract involves upgrading the sewage system and associated infrastructure in the Perbandaran Ketengah Jaya, Bukit Besi, and Seri Bandi Phase III areas, all located within the Wilayah Ketengah in Terengganu Darul Iman. The project is set to commence on 29 July 2024, with an expected completion date of 13 June 2027.

Abang Abdillah Izzarim, Executive Chairman of Minetech, expressed enthusiasm about the new contract: "We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by Puncak Utara. Partnering with Ketengah, a respected government agency, not only bolsters our portfolio but also enhances our industry credibility. Looking ahead, Minetech is committed to securing major projects and expanding our presence in the infrastructure sector, including civil engineering and water treatment. We are also keen to explore opportunities in Sarawak to drive growth and deliver positive outcomes."

Minetech is eager to work closely with Puncak Utara to ensure the project's timely completion and to set new standards in the infrastructure sector.

The recent contract win follows a busy July for Minetech, during which the Company secured two significant contracts totalling RM20.15 million. These projects include an upgrade and construction of an external road and drainage system in Mukim Batu, Kuala Lumpur, awarded by MyVilla Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Mah Sing Group Bhd, and a road and drainage works contract at Banting Industrial City in Kuala Langat, Selangor.
