The Nikkei Average fell for the first time in 3 days. The forward transaction was closed at 36155.26 yen (estimated volume 1 billion 90 million shares), which was 77.25 yen lower (-0.21%) compared to the previous day.

The US stock market rose on the 13th. The Dow average closed at 39765.64 dollars, which was 408.63 dollars higher (+ 1.04%), the NASDAQ was 17187.61, 407.00 points higher (+ 2.43%), and the S&P 500 closed at 5434.43, which was 90.04 points higher (+ 1.68%). Since the July Producer Price Index (PPI) fell below expectations, purchases in response to expectations of interest rate cuts by the end of the year intensified, and then rose after being close. Expectations that the consumer price index (CPI) to be announced on the 14th would also show further improvement in inflation intensified, and all-day buying took precedence. High-tech purchases were strong due to interest rate expectations, and the increase in the market price widened towards the end of the market and ended.

In response to strong US stocks, the Tokyo market began trading with a buying advantage. There was also a scene where the increase in the Nikkei Average expanded to the 36600 yen range after donation, but reactions against the rise up to the previous day were also conscious, and the increase was heavy. At the timing when buying stopped, news such as “Prime Minister Kishida will not run for the September presidential election” was transmitted before 11:00, showing weak movements centered on semiconductor stocks, and the Nikkei Average entered a negative zone compared to the previous day.

Among the stocks adopted by the Nikkei Average, Mercari <4385> received financial results announcements and became drastically depreciated due to concerns about slowing growth, and Citizen <7762> was also disgusted with financial results and sold. Tokyo Electron <8035> and Lasertech <6920> stalled after a buying advantage, and sank into a negative zone compared to the previous day. Additionally, Comsys HD <1721>, Nitto Denko <6988>, HOYA <7741>, NITORI Holdings <9843>, and Shin-Etsu <4063> declined.

Meanwhile, in addition to the financial results being viewed as material, Sapporo HD <2501> was significantly higher, and Fujikura <5803> was bought in response to positive reports from domestic securities companies. Also, insurance stocks such as Dai-ichi Life HD <8750>, Tokio Marine HD <8766>, and MS&AD <8725> have risen. In addition, Socionext <6526>, IHI <7013>, Isetan Mitsukoshi HD <3099>, Konica Minolta <4902>, and Resonac <4004> were bought.

By industry, while precision instruments, chemicals, warehousing/transportation-related industries, textile products, fisheries/agriculture and forestry industries declined, insurance, transportation equipment, petroleum/coal products, nonferrous metals, wholesale businesses, etc. rose.
