According to the joint announcement at 4:00 pm on the date of the joint announcement (i.e., the last time and date for the acceptance and approval of the partial tender offer), the tenderer has received:
(1) Effective acceptance of a total of 1.356 billion tendered shares, equivalent to approximately 30.79% of the shares issued as of the final feasible date and the date of this joint announcement; and
(2) Effective approval of a total of 1.555 billion shares for the partial tender offer, equivalent to approximately 66.21% of the shares held by non-tenderers and their concerted action persons.
On the final deadline, only about 48.71% of the shares accepted by each accepting shareholder will be subscribed by the tenderer because a total of approximately 1.356 billion shares are accepted by qualified shareholders.
Under the partial tender offer, non-integer tendered shares will not be subscribed. Therefore, the number of tendered shares that the tenderer will subscribe to each qualified shareholder based on the above formula will be rounded up or down to the nearest integer at the tenderer's discretion.
Immediately after the partial tender offer expired, the company's public shareholding was about 47.32% of the issued shares. Therefore, the number of shares held by the public complies with the requirement of Rule 8.08 of the listing rules on the minimum public shareholding of 25% after the expiration of the partial tender offer.
