The net surplus for the period was mainly due to the combined effects of the following: the software business achieved a segment surplus of about 5.652 million Hong Kong dollars (2023: about 4.746 million Hong Kong dollars); the securities investment business achieved a segment surplus of about 2.45 million Hong Kong dollars (2023: a loss of about 2.166 million Hong Kong dollars); the enterprise management solutions and information technology contract services business achieved a segment surplus of about 0.091 million Hong Kong dollars (2023: about 0.612 million Hong Kong dollars); the B2C online sales platform and B2B product trading business achieved a segment surplus of about 0.126 million Hong Kong dollars (2023: a loss of about 0.026 million Hong Kong dollars); and other enterprise expenses incurred during the period were offset by approximately 6.475 million Hong Kong dollars (2023: approximately 5.437 million Hong Kong dollars).
