Singapore and Hong Kong, 16 August 2024 - China Everbright Water Limited ("Everbright Water" or the "Company"; stock codes: U9E.SG and 1857.HK), an environmental protection company focusing on water environment management, is pleased to announce that a consortium led by Everbright Water (the "Consortium") has recently secured Jiangsu Jiangyin Lingang Industrial Waste Water Treatment Plant and Ancillary Pipeline Network ("Jiangyin Lingang Plant" or the "Plant") Phase I EPCO (Design, Procurement, Construction and Operation) Project ("Jiangyin Lingang Plant Phase I EPCO Project" or the "Project"). The Project is expected to enhance industrial waste water treatment and recycling within the Lingang Economic Development Zone, further advancing the Company's deployment of both asset-light and asset-heavy businesses in the field of industrial waste water treatment.

The Consortium will provide integrated services for Jiangyin Lingang Plant Phase I, encompassing project surveying, design, procurement, construction and operation. Everbright Water will be responsible for the provision of operation and management services of the Plant Phase I and be entitled to collect the operation and management service fee for an operation period of 8 years; while its subsidiary, Xuzhou Municipal Engineering Design Institute Co., Ltd., will be responsible for the design of the Project. The other members of the Consortium will be responsible for the surveying, procurement and construction of the Project. Of which, the engineering, procurement and construction contract value payable to the Consortium amounts to approximately RMB473 million (excluding the operation and management service fee to be collected by Everbright Water).

Jiangyin Lingang Plant has a total designed industrial waste water treatment capacity of 60,000 m3/day and a total designed reusable water supply capacity of 18,000 m3/day. The Project will complete all civil engineering works of the Plant, procure and install all necessary equipment for the Plant Phase I, and construct an ancillary network of waste water collection pipelines and tailwater wetland for an ecological buffer zone. Upon completion of construction work, the Plant Phase I will have a designed industrial waste water treatment capacity of 30,000 m3/day and a designed reusable water treatment capacity of 9,000 m3/day, with major discharged water indicators complying with the Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002) for Category IV.

Jiangyin Lingang Plant is considered the largest plant of this type in Jiangsu Jiangyin Lingang Economic Development Zone. The implementation of Jiangyin Lingang Plant I EPCO Project underscores the positive role of the EPCO model in promoting green industrial development. By leveraging the professional capabilities and relevant experiences of all members of the Consortium, the Project will enhance the execution efficiency and operational quality, thereby achieving a win-win situation in terms of economic and environmental benefits. Moving forward, Everbright Water will collaborate closely with other members of the Consortium, leveraging their respective strengths, to systematically advance all related initiatives. Through the provision of high-quality environmental services, the Project will effectively meet the industrial waste water treatment needs of the development zone, enhance the quality of local water ecosystem, and support the green and sustainable development of Jiangsu Jiangyin Lingang Economic Development Zone and all enterprises operating within the area.
