Tokyo Growth Market-250 Index was at 612.03, up 2.92, with a trading volume of 50.15 million shares and a turnover of 111.4 billion yen. Today's growth market saw Tokyo Growth Market Index rise for the ninth consecutive day, while the Tokyo Growth Market-250 Index continued to rise. The number of rising stocks was 206, the number of declining stocks was 348, and 34 remained unchanged.

In the US market on the 16th, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 40,659.76, up 96.70 dollars, while the Nasdaq ended trading at 17,631.72, up 37.22 points. Chicago Federal Reserve President Charlie Evans expressed concern about the economy and labor market, and with lower-than-expected housing starts, the market was sold off from a sense of caution and fell after the opening. However, with the Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index, which was released later, exceeding expectations, concerns about the economy eased, and buying back surged, causing the market to turn up. By the end of the day, it continued to rise amid sustained demand for long-term bonds and strong expectations for interest rate cuts.

Tokyo Growth Market Index continued to expand its gains after rising, but stalled at the 800-point level after a round of buying. However, the yen's appreciation caused the Nikkei average to decline after the intermission, and the Tokyo Growth Market Index also reduced its gains in the same way. Nonetheless, the growth market remained relatively robust and ended the trading day maintaining a small increase. Among individual stocks, JTOWER<{4485}> rose by 69.25% due to a movement to adjust the tender offer price, while SynBio Pharma<{4582}> announced the start of international joint phase Ib/II clinical trials for its injectable drug Brigatinib (IV BCV), which targets relapsed or refractory lymphoma patients, and Astroscale<{186A}> announced the conclusion of a large-scale contract for Commercial Debris Removal Demonstration (CRD2) Phase II with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) through a subsidiary.
