According to the introduction, Tengshi Automobile was jointly established by BYD and Mercedes-Benz in 2010. Wang Chuanfu said that Tengshi is the first brand in China with equal equity and technology, and the brand trademark is jointly owned by shareholders. BYD and Daimler each hold 50% of the shares. In 2021, BYD and Daimler's shareholding ratio was adjusted from 50:50 to 90:10.
