On August 22, Geelong announced its semi-annual report, with the company achieving revenue of 1.467 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.99% compared to the same period last year; achieving a net loss attributable to the owners of the parent company of -32.1127 million yuan, a decrease of 18.6326 million yuan year-on-year, and achieving a net profit attributable to the owners of the parent company after deducting non-recurring gains and losses of -55.6632 million yuan, a decrease of 30.7998 million yuan year-on-year.
In the first half of 2024, facing multiple difficulties such as external environmental impacts, intensified industry competition, and insufficient market demand, the company actively responded, took the initiative, and upgraded its AIDriven "intelligence-driven" development strategy to optimize its business structure and focus on market breakthroughs. In terms of management, it strengthened risk control, implemented cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and built a solid foundation for enterprise long-term development through technological innovation and organizational efficiency enhancement. During the reporting period, due to the increase in investment and efforts in transitioning to the intelligent computing center, and the slower-than-expected deployment progress of existing data centers, the intelligent computing cloud service business incurred losses; at the same time, the decrease in government and industry customers' IT spending and demand led to a decline in related business revenue and gross profit.
