On August 22, Yunnan Coal & Energy (600792.SH) released its semi-annual report, with the company achieving revenue of 3.57 billion yuan, a 3.13% decrease from the same period last year; and a net loss attributable to shareholders of the listed company of 0.23 billion yuan, an increase of 199.5404 million yuan from the same period last year. In the first half of 2024, the company's main business operation incurred losses and increased significantly compared to the same period last year, with the main reasons as follows: First, due to the 2 million ton coking project of the company being in the trial production stage in the same period last year, depreciation expenses were not provided in accordance with accounting standards, and some loan costs met the conditions for capitalization, and were included in the project investment. Due to the impact of these two expenses on the current period's profit and loss, the cost of the 2 million ton coking project increased significantly compared to the same period last year.
