Google-C (GOOG.US), Walmart (WMT.US), and Philip Morris (PM.US) were the least short-sold stocks in the S&P 500 index in July.

According to the Futu News app, Google-C (GOOG.US), Walmart (WMT.US), and Philip Morris (PM.US) were the least short-sold stocks in the S&P 500 index in July.

As of July 31, 0.33% of Google-C (GOOG.US) stocks were short-sold. In July, the short-selling of this American technology company decreased, with traders selling 40.72 million Google stocks, a decrease of 4.97% compared to the end of June. 0.53% of Google-A (GOOGL.US) stocks were short-sold in July.

Walmart ranked second, with 0.46% of its stocks being short-sold as of July 31. The retailer rebounded last week after raising its annual outlook, with short-selling volume increasing by 2.2% this month to reach 37.36 million shares, compared to 36.56 million shares being short-sold at the end of June.

Philip Morris ranked fourth, with 9.12 million shares being short-sold, accounting for 0.59% of its total outstanding shares. The short-selling volume of this tobacco company decreased by 8% compared to the previous month.
