On August 22, Wong's Int'l (00099.HK) announced that the group's income for the six months ended June 30, 2024 was HKD 1.224 billion, a decrease of 27.2% compared to the same period last year. The loss attributable to the company's shareholders was HKD 0.3889 billion. This is mainly due to the increase in provision for completed property inventories and the fair value loss of investment properties held by the group and its joint ventures, which amounted to HKD 0.4468 billion. The fair value loss reflects the weak market conditions for commercial properties. The profit of the EMS department decreased by HKD 10.2 million, mainly due to a decrease in sales from external customers, partially offset by cost efficiency improvements. The board of directors has resolved to pay an interim dividend of HKD 0.0275 per share (2023: HKD 0.0300 per share).
