Bathroom Survey [Households with 4 or more people]
Over 80% of respondents find the appeal of magnet items lies in their ability to be organized and freely installed.

LIXIL Corporation (hereinafter referred to as LIXIL) conducted a survey on bathrooms for senior households, households of 4 or more people, and dual-income households in conjunction with the release of the system bathroom 'LIDEA・RINOBIO V' in spring 24. We will deliver the results of the survey in three installments based on household categories.
In this second installment, we will deliver the 【Households of 4 or more people】 section. We conducted a survey targeting 111 men and women in their 30s to 50s living together with a spouse and two or more children (under 18 years old).

Overview of survey results on concerns of households with 4 or more people:
- The top concern among families sharing the bathroom is the inconvenience of cleaning (53.3%).
- Regarding storage capacity and space in the bathroom, 44.1% feel it is insufficient.
42.3% feel that bath supplies are 'not well organized'.
Due to the inability to organize bath supplies, 59.6% of the above respondents feel that 'dirt and stickiness accumulate easily'.
More than 80% are attracted to the 'ability to organize and freely install' magnet items, according to responses.


Top concern when sharing the bathroom with family: 'cleaning is a hassle'.
The top concern when sharing the bathroom with family is 'cleaning being a hassle', followed by 'water cooling down' and 'high water and utility bills' at second and third place, respectively.
When asked about the problems when sharing the bathroom with family, the majority (53.3%) felt that 'cleaning is a hassle', followed by the issues of 'differences in family bathing times causing the water to cool down' (41.3%) and 'high water and utility bills' (38.7%). The results showed that many people find it bothersome to clean due to dirt accumulating from the number of family members using the bathroom. Concerns specific to the number of household members were also observed, such as the insulation of the bathtub and water utility bills. Additionally, when asked about the cleaning frequency, the bathtub was the most frequently cleaned item at 41.4% responding 'daily'. Interior items such as storage shelves and mirrors were most commonly cleaned 'every 2-3 days' (23.4%), or 'once a week' (21.6%), or 'whenever noticed' (19.8%).

More than 40% of the respondents stated that there is not enough storage space in the bathroom and it is not organized.
In response to the question "Is there enough storage space in the bathroom," 44.1% answered "no." Additionally, it was revealed that 42.3% have not organized bath products (such as shampoo and body sponges). Those who answered that they have organized mentioned that they avoid placing too many items in the bathroom (45.3%), return bath products to their original positions after use (40.6%), and implement floating or hanging storage (39.1%). It seems that reducing the number of items in the bathroom and coming up with storage methods are key points in determining the "address" of items.

When unable to organize, "dirt and grime tend to accumulate in the bathroom," making cleaning difficult.
On the other hand, when asked about the condition of the bathroom by those who answered that they have not organized, the majority (59.6%) mentioned that dirt and grime accumulate easily in the bathroom, followed by "difficult to clean" (48.9%). It appears that the inability to organize leads to easy accumulation of dirt and consequently causes cleaning difficulties.

In addition, it was found that "being able to freely adjust and coordinate to the height and position that suits oneself" (40.5%) and "being able to easily remove and wash it, making cleaning easy" (39.6%) are also favorable points.
