According to the results of an unannounced investigation announced by the Shanghai Municipal Consumer Insurance Commission, many of the maintenance companies found through Gaode Maps have committed acts that seriously damage consumers' rights and interests, such as false offers, false repairs, and fictitious faults. Specifically, some maintenance personnel falsely claimed that the motherboard was damaged and lacked refrigerant, and repaired by tampering with the internal machine and falsely adding liquid, and charged 680 yuan. However, experts later determined that the so-called liquid addition instead released part of the air conditioner refrigerant. Another maintenance worker also falsely claimed that the motherboard was damaged and charged 547 yuan.
At the same time, maintenance providers found through Baidu Maps also have acts that seriously damage consumers' rights and interests, such as false offers, false repairs, and fictitious faults. Some maintenance personnel falsely claimed that the air conditioner was deficient in liquid by falsely connecting the pressure gauge to the pressure pipe connector. Later, after discharging unannounced visitors, they claimed to have added 9 pressure freons and charged 600 yuan.
In addition, the Shanghai Municipal Consumer Insurance Commission also discovered that the addresses of home appliance repair businesses marked on Gaode Map and Baidu Map were quite untrue.
