According to the Zhitong Finance app, Shin Hwa World (00582) released its interim performance for the six months ending on June 30, 2024, with group earnings of 0.525 billion Hong Kong dollars, a year-on-year growth of 25.5%; shareholder losses of 0.232 billion Hong Kong dollars, a year-on-year narrowing of 31.69%; and a loss per share of 45.62 Hong Kong cents.
The announcement stated that the decrease in comprehensive loss for the period was mainly attributed to (i) increased comprehensive income generated by the gambling business and property development segment; (ii) decrease in amortization and depreciation; and (iii) decrease in financial costs.
