According to the Beijing North Star Corporation (00588)'s interim performance for the six months ended June 30, 2024, the group achieved revenue of CNY 3.43 billion, a decrease of 52.81% compared to the same period last year. The company's ordinary shareholders experienced a loss of CNY 0.77 billion, compared to a profit of CNY 0.133 billion in the same period last year. The loss per share was 22.86 cents.
In the first half of 2024, the company continued to make efforts and achieved steady growth in the exhibition and hotel business format, as well as stable operation in the commercial property business format, both of which achieved the expected profit for the first half of the year. The exhibition (including hotel) and commercial property sectors achieved operating revenue of CNY 1.248 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.74%. The pre-tax profit was CNY 0.198 billion, a decrease of 3.66% compared to the same period last year.
