According to the announcement, Zhong Hua Int'l (01064) released its interim results for the six months ending June 30, 2024. The group achieved revenue of 14.259 million Hong Kong dollars, a decrease of 2.5% compared to the same period last year. The attributable loss to ordinary shareholders of the company narrowed by 98.01% to 9.583 million Hong Kong dollars, with a basic loss per share of 1.25 Hong Kong cents.
The announcement stated that the decrease in the company's pre-tax loss during this period was mainly due to the absence of a loss cancellation of a former subsidiary company (2023: 1.708 billion Hong Kong dollars (reclassified)). The fair value loss of an entity's equity during this period was 28.255 million Hong Kong dollars (2023: none (reclassified)). There was also no revaluation loss from investment properties of the group during this period (2023: 45.2 million Hong Kong dollars (reclassified)).
