According to the announcement, BG Blue Sky (06828) announced its interim performance for the six months ended June 30, 2024. The group's revenue is approximately 0.872 billion Hong Kong dollars, a decrease of about 26.8% compared to the same period last year; the attributable profit to shareholders is approximately 55.3 million Hong Kong dollars, an increase of about 71.2% compared to the same period last year; and earnings per share is 0.24 Hong Kong cents.
The announcement stated that the increase in attributable profit to shareholders was mainly due to (i) the increase in equity share of PetroChina Jingtang LNG Co., Ltd.'s project compared to the first half of 2023; and (ii) the decrease in financing costs compared to the first half of 2023.
