Trancom Co., Ltd.
Trancom, in cooperation with ANA, provides integrated air and land transportation services.
Start of service for the flying pallet 'Sorapare'.
- As an option to address the logistics problem in 2024 -
Trancom Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, President and Executive Officer: Hiroyuki Kamino, hereinafter referred to as Trancom) will collaborate with All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Shinichiro Inoue, hereinafter referred to as ANA) and start providing the service of flying pallets (commonly known as Sorapare) utilizing ANA's daytime flight cargo space from August 30th.
This service is a transportation service that connects 10 domestic airports and nationwide land routes as options for addressing the "2024 logistics problem", and delivers from collection to delivery by air and land.
In the logistics industry, there are social issues such as chronic shortage of truck drivers, aging of workers, and consideration for the environment. In particular, in long-distance transportation, the annual overtime hours for driving trucks has been limited to 960 hours, which poses many challenges such as securing transportation capacity, building a high-efficiency logistics network for transportation, and addressing labor shortages.
Trancom and ANA aim to solve these challenges and build an optimal transportation service for achieving a sustainable society by providing a one-stop transportation service that can deliver on the same day by air and land. We also aim to solve social issues.
Flying Pallet (nicknamed SoraPare) Service Overview:
This service combines ANA's transportation service that utilizes the cargo space under the floor of domestic passenger regular flights during daytime hours and transports by air freight container units, and Trancom's cargo and truck matching service. Trancom arranges for vehicle collection, airport loading and unloading, and delivery using vehicles, and ANA transports by air using air cargo containers. The price per pallet from collection to delivery is set (by area), so even a small amount of cargo that does not fill a truck can be transported efficiently without waste by utilizing the truck to its fullest capacity.
