Hello everyone, good morning/afternoon/evening. On the 5th of this month, individual investors were shocked by the "historic market crash", but now we are experiencing a market rally as if nothing had happened. In this situation, I cannot afford to stand still... I am an individual investor, Sana Sae.
This is the 83rd installment of my series, written by a female investor in her 40s who was the runner-up in the Evening Fuji sponsored 1GP Grand Champion Tournament (FY 2021). Along with the title column, I will introduce some of the recent promising stocks.
Now we are seeing a strong market rally that makes you want to collapse and writhe on the floor, saying, "What was that recent market crash all about, damn it?" The Nikkei average has quickly rebounded to the 18,000 yen range. It would be nice if we could become magnanimous individuals who can say, "You did a good job, you worked hard, thank you." and forget about their previous actions when the former tax increase prime minister retired. However, I am not the only individual investor who is determined to achieve revenge even if it means trudging through the mud against this market.
The reason the market has become rapidly bullish is also due to the soft landing expectations in the USA, but it seems that the recent market has already taken this into account. In the short term, the direction of the US presidential election in November is likely to have an impact on the stock market, so as an investor, it is important to keep an eye on the news around this period.
However, Japanese stocks have made a bullish turnaround. Many individual investors who were hurt by the recent sharp decline may still have the energy to fight back. The key strategy is to aim for stocks that are likely to become even more popular in the future and increase assets. This time, I will introduce the theme stocks and individual stocks that I am currently focusing on.
First, there is a focus on datacenter-related stocks due to reports of Advanced Micro Devices, a major IT company in the USA, acquiring server company ZT Systems. When it comes to standout stocks, it's Sakura Internet <3778>, which has now become a national policy company. It has quickly regained its value. Furthermore, there is growing interest in stocks like Broadband Tower <3776> and Sakura CS <4761>, which had previously been bought as part of the same group, so it's worth keeping an eye on their performance expectations and catalysts.
As for the related theme, cybersecurity that I have introduced before is noteworthy. Amiy is attracting attention as they have signed sales agency contracts with NTT Communications for 'Full Managed SASE Verona,' and Seraku <6199> who signed a development partner contract with NTT DIM <3850> is also under the spotlight. In addition, with the active movement towards corporate DX and AI transformation, IT consulting companies continue to look interesting. Companies like Jexseed <3719> specializing in ERP consulting for enhancing corporate value, and Sigma Xis HD <6088> for business consulting on IT strategies are on the radar.
Lastly, looking at individual stocks, Genie <6562>, which recently had a surprise earnings release and was certified as an Amazon 'Verified IP Partner,' San Denso <6736> whose stock price is soaring due to speculation about a TOB from a U.S. investment firm, and Trial HD <141A> related to Kyushu, which has come to a high price level due to good earnings announcements, are worth checking out for the short to medium term.
Yes, that's all for this time.
In my recent blog, in addition to the stocks introduced above, I pick up the 'Top 3 Stocks to Watch' every month as 'Sanae's Solo Stock 1GP' and measure their price range every weekend. Of course, there are various topics other than stocks... Please feel free to enjoy it even if you are curious or scared (lol). Well then, have a nice trade.
