Gelonghui, September 2 | Xiaopeng Automobile-W (09868.HK) announced that in August 2024, Xiaopeng Motor delivered a total of 14,036 smart electric vehicles, an increase of 3% year-on-year and 26% month-on-month. In the first eight months of 2024, Xiaopeng Motor delivered a total of 77,209 smart electric vehicles, an increase of 17% over the previous year.
On August 27, 2024, Xiaopeng Motor held a 10th anniversary gala and officially launched the smart pure electric hatchback coupe Xiaopeng MONA M03 in the Chinese market. There are three models, with a price range of RMB 119,800 to RMB 155,800. The MONA M03 max version is equipped with an xNGP intelligent driving assistance system, making the MONA M03 the first mass-produced vehicle in the world to provide advanced ADAS functions at a price of less than RMB 0.2 million.
On August 30, 2024, at the Chengdu Auto Show, the first batch of MONA M03 was delivered to customers. As Xiaopeng Motor's first model in its second decade, the MONA M03 has an attractive shape, advanced intelligence, and excellent driving performance that surpasses the level common in the RMB 0.2 million market segment, bringing young consumers a new flagship product in the AI-defined smart mobility era at an affordable price.
During the event, Xiaopeng Motor also announced a new goal for the next ten years: to become a global AI-defined automobile company. Accordingly, the company showcased its artificial intelligence architecture and XPENG Turing chips for robots, AI-defined cars, and electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVOTL). The company also introduced Xiaopeng Motor's next-generation AI Hawkeye vision solution — China's first advanced vision-based ADAS mass production solution that does not rely on lidar (LIDAR).
In August 2024, Xiaopeng Motor launched the AI Tianji XOS 5.2 OTA upgrade to all eligible overseas car owners, bringing them a seamless OTA experience with unprecedented speed. In the same month, the penetration rate of monthly active smart driving users in XNGP urban areas reached 85%.
