Since announcing the launch of the stock repurchase plan in September 2021, as of August 31, 2024, Waterdrop Company has cumulatively spent approximately $100 million to repurchase about 49.3 million ADS shares from the public market. The performance report shows that Waterdrop Company's insurance-related revenue in the second quarter was ¥574 million, with an operating profit of ¥123 million. The first-year premium scale for Waterdrop's insurance business was ¥1.779 billion, a 1.4% increase compared to the previous period; during the quarter, the ability to attract customers in the short insurance domain further improved, driving a 15.8% increase in overall new user numbers.

In April, Waterdrop Company officially launched the year of quality service upgrade for its insurance business, introducing the “Three Good Services” with core focuses on good service, good products, and good claims. This includes direct claim hotline, 24-hour claim service, covering the entire process of insurance services such as insurance planning, product customization, and claims services, continuously enhancing service capabilities, creating greater user value.

In this quarter, Waterdrop Company continued its focus on technological investment. As of June 30th, it has obtained 5 authorized patents related to large models and has applied for over 30 related patents. At the same time, it has further expanded the functions and application scenarios of large models.
