On September 9, Q Tech (01478.HK) disclosed the main product sales data for August 2024, with a total of 32.636 million camera module sales for the month, a decrease of 2.4% from the previous month, and a 1.2% year-on-year increase. Among them, the sales of mobile camera modules were 31.706 million, down 2.9% month-on-month, and up 1.2% year-on-year. The total sales of fingerprint recognition modules for the month amounted to 16.113 million, an increase of 14.8% month-on-month, and a 58.5% year-on-year increase.
The announcement stated that the sales volume of camera modules remained basically the same year-on-year, and the group continues to adhere to the unchanged business strategy of focusing on high-end camera modules. In addition, the sales volume of fingerprint recognition modules increased month-on-month and year-on-year, mainly due to the group's ultrasonic fingerprint recognition module project entering large-scale production and the increase in market share in the fingerprint recognition module business.
