Hamamatsu Photonics uses image processing/measurement equipment design technology cultivated over many years and independently developed Zyncscan (zinc scan) technology (*1) to rapidly acquire three-dimensional fluorescence images of cell groups that mimic conditions physiologically close to living organisms, and at the same time analyze the size, shape, number, state, etc. of cells/cell groups “CYTOQUBE (sitecube) light sheet microplate (*2) cytometer (*3) The “C15200-01RGBU” has been developed.

This product is expected to be used in the drug discovery screening (*4) process, which is one of the initial processes of drug discovery research and development. Drug discovery screening is an important process that affects the probability of success in drug discovery research and development, and it is necessary to evaluate multiple new drug candidates efficiently and accurately. This product drastically reduces the time required for 3D fluorescence image acquisition and analysis, especially for 3D cell populations, and at the same time enables accurate measurement, dramatically improving the efficiency of drug discovery screening. Orders for this product will begin on 9/10 (Tuesday) from domestic and international pharmaceutical manufacturers and research institutes. Also, we will be exhibiting at the “83rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Society” to be held at the Fukuoka International Conference Center and Fukuoka Marine Messe (Hakata-ku, Fukuoka-shi, Fukuoka-ken) for 3 days from 9/19 (Thursday).
