Sina Technology News reported on the evening of September 10 that the 15th issue of Didi's “Questions must be answered” focused on advance payment issues for sky-high orders. In the first half of this year, Didi has advanced 0.129 billion yuan to drivers, all of which are online car-hailing fees that passengers have not yet paid.

After the DiDi order is completed, the vast majority of passengers will voluntarily pay the fare, or pay the fare before the next taxi, or after being reminded in various ways such as messaging, SMS, and phone calls on the platform app. However, it is true that there are also some passengers who deliberately did not pay the fare. In order to ensure that the masters receive their labor income in a timely manner, starting in 2016, Didi will advance the fare to the driver in accordance with the platform's rules.

Of the orders that passengers did not pay in time, over 98.7% of orders were advanced to the driver on the same day; for orders that were not advanced on the same day, the platform will manually verify whether there are any violations of the platform's transaction order rules (such as drivers installing cheaters, malicious collusion between drivers, etc.). Overall, over 99.9% of orders are paid in advance to the driver within 7 days. In the first half of the year, of the online car-hailing orders that were not paid by passengers, Didi paid the most in advance for the driver was 8,589.74 yuan, 1,618 orders with an advance payment of more than 1,000 yuan, 0.0118 million for orders over 500 yuan, and 0.0774 million for orders over 200 yuan.

In response to the chauffeur's concerns, such as “why are some orders advanced and some are not advanced”, “does DiDi only advance payment for small orders and not advance payment for large orders”, “why did some large orders not get paid even if they appealed”, etc., DiDi's business security chief and anti-fraud expert Beihai (pseudonym) said that the size of the order amount does not affect whether or not to advance payment. However, when there are some irregularities, regardless of the amount, Didi has the right not to advance payments, including suspected malicious collusion harming the interests of the platform, and passengers not modifying the destination online but the destination is inconsistent with the order destination.

In the first half of 2024, it was verified that about 3 out of 100,000 orders were illegal orders. The platform did not actively advance payment within 7 days, and was rejected by the platform during the driver complaint process. Didi urges all chauffeurs to abide by relevant laws and regulations, abide by the rules of the platform, and never have a sense of luck. At the same time, Didi also continues to listen to the voices of more drivers. Drivers can click “DiDi Car Owner App - My Tools - Everyone Discuss” to give feedback on order issues.
