Sina Technology News On the evening of September 10, the 2024 Berlin International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA2024) will be held in Germany from September 6 to September 10, Berlin time. During this period, TCL participated in the exhibition and released a variety of new products, such as the TCL X965, a large-screen QD-mini LED TV, and also introduced the company's latest overseas business developments.

According to TCL, since 2004, two major international mergers and acquisitions of France's Thomson TV business and Alcatel entered the European and American markets. In the first half of 2024, global shipments of TCL TVs reached 12.52 million units, an increase of 9.2% over the previous year, and the market share of shipments increased by 0.9% to 13.3%, ranking in the top two in the world. Among them, in the first half of 2024, TCL brand TV shipments in the European market increased by 40.1% year on year. The retail market share ranked in the top two in France, Sweden, and Poland, and third in the Czech Republic and Spain.

What are the secrets behind TCL's rapid growth in the European market? In communication with Sina Technology, Li Yongping, general manager of TCL Industrial's European marketing division, said, “Currently, many domestic brands or companies want to find new growth points overseas. Although Europe has been under pressure in the past few years and new demand is not being updated as fast as other markets, Europe as a whole has a large consumer volume and high consumption structure. It can better add value or differentiate in terms of brands and products and services, and the value space that can be obtained is also relatively high, so it is also attracting more and more brands to enter.”

Li Yongping pointed out that in the past 20 years, TCL has strengthened the company's localization capabilities through localized management and localized manufacturing. At the same time, the company also brought product exports and manufacturing in China and global supply chain operation advantages to Europe, achieving better cost reduction and efficiency. This enabled TCL to gradually develop from the original product mainly focusing on TVs to the fields of air conditioning, ice washing, wearables, mobile phones, etc., and all categories of operations are in a booming trend.

According to reports, in terms of localization of production in overseas markets, TCL's Polish plant continues to carry out automated and intelligent transformation in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, etc. As of 2023, it has invested nearly 0.11 billion US dollars, with an annual production capacity of over 5 million units, and can be delivered to all European countries in 3 days.
