Japanese ADR (American Depositary Securities) shares fell in comparison with the Tokyo Stock Exchange (converted to 142.43 yen per dollar), Japan Post Bank ＜7182 ＞, Honda Motor ＜7267＞, Seven & i HD ＜3382＞, Toyota Industries ＜6201＞, Fujifilm ＜4901＞, Denso ＜6902＞, Fujitsu ＜6702＞, etc. fell, and overall sales were dominant. The Chicago Nikkei 225 futures settlement value is 36,140 yen, 10 yen lower than the Osaka daytime ratio.

The US stock market is mixed. The Dow average closed at 40,736.96 dollars, down 92.63 dollars, and the Nasdaq closed at 17,025.88, 141.28 points higher. Purchases in response to expectations of a soft landing continued, and after getting close, they rose. However, the energy sector was weak due to a decline in the financial sector and a drop in crude oil prices, and the Dow began to decline and was sold throughout the day. High-tech remained strong throughout the day due to falling long-term interest rates, and ended in mixed ways.

The dollar and yen fell from 143 yen 20 yen to 142 yen 20 yen in the New York foreign exchange market on the 10th, and closed at 142 yen 41 yen. Dollar sales and yen purchases became dominant due to the decline in long-term US interest rates, incorporating adjustments ahead of the announcement of the US Consumer Price Index (CPI), low crude oil prices, and interest rate cuts in response to a drastic decline in the US SME optimism index in August. Strong tenders for 3-year bonds led to further dollar sales. The euro dollar fell from $1.1037 to $1.1015 and closed at $1.1023. Euro sales continue, incorporating additional interest rate cuts at the board meeting to be held by the European Central Bank (ECB) this week.

NY crude oil futures fell for the 10 month period (NYMEX crude oil closing price for the 10 month period: 65.75 ↓ 2.96).
