Analyst John Vinh said that on the positive side, Lingyun Semiconductor (CRUS.US), Qualcomm (QCOM.US), and Broadcom (AVGO.US) may benefit due to various reasons. Vinh explained that as the iPhone 16 Pro uses quadruplex telephoto lens technology, and the new camera control system may have a tactile driver, Ling Yun Semiconductor should benefit.
Furthermore, Vinh believes that the iPhone 16 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone 16 Plus have all upgraded the new ultra-wide-angle camera, which may utilize the latest generation camera controller, which is a plus for Lingyun Semiconductor.
Also, since all new iPhone 16 models have upgraded to Wi-Fi 7, this is a positive impact for Broadcom.
Other beneficiaries of the new iPhone include ADI.US (ADI.US) and Qualcomm, the former because the camera control system of the new product is equipped with a force sensor, and the latter because the number of RF products equipped with the new iPhone is likely to increase.
Negative and neutral effects
On the contrary, Vinh said it also had a negative impact on the semiconductor industry, particularly SWKS.US (SWKS.US), which should be affected by the decline in Qualcomm's RF products on the new iPhone.
The impact on Qorvo (QRVO.US) is more neutral within a certain range. Vinh said that although there has been no significant increase in Qorvo's product content in this phone, people expect Qorvo to increase its content.
