1. Company Overview

Draft <5070> was founded in April 2008 by designer Yasuki Yamashita. The company group aims to contribute to society by creating a cycle of happiness in the world through solving social issues with the power of design under the corporate philosophy of "ALL HAPPY BY DESIGN", as well as enhancing the human experience through the creation of spaces, targeting to improve society.

The company originally started with office design as its main business, but in recent years, the field of display and architectural design, such as redesigning commercial facilities and entire buildings, has expanded significantly. The business scope is divided into design architecture that only carries out planning and design, and design-build that covers the design process from planning to completion. In addition, interior product design and branding have also expanded, covering a wide range of design areas.

At the time of its establishment, the company viewed offices merely as a cost, and efficient use of limited space was the mainstream in design. In that context, the company demonstrated creativity by using design as a tool for problem-solving with free thinking. Taking into account that people spend long hours in the office, they aimed to create an office where employees can feel comfortable and proud. The company's vision and design philosophy attracted attention, expanding its customer base from sensitive start-up companies to large corporations. Subsequently, the company started handling the design of commercial facility environments and participating in urban development by collaborating with major developers on building design.

As of the second quarter of the fiscal year ending December 2024, the revenue breakdown by segment for the revenue of 107.02 billion yen is as follows: "Display Design, Architectural Design, and Others" accounts for 47.2%, while "Office Design, Project Management, and Others" increased from the previous period due to the completion of large office design projects progressing and additional large orders from existing clients, making up 52.8%.

2. History and Group Companies

The company group consists of Draft, its consolidated subsidiary D-RAWRITE INC. in the Philippines, and its consolidated subsidiary D-RAWRITE d.o.o Beograd in the Republic of Serbia (hereinafter Serbia). D-RAWRITE INC. was established in 2013, and D-RAWRITE d.o.o Beograd was established in 2022. Each company engages in creating 3D image perspectives and 2D design drawings.

A 3D image perspective is a 3D representation of the appearance of a building and the interior based on drawings. It is a very important tool in sharing the client's vision and design, demonstrating overwhelming power over drawings and models in presentations to clients. Although it usually requires a considerable amount of time and cost for production, the company group achieves quality improvement, business efficiency, and cost reduction by internally producing in the Philippines, where many excellent engineers are present, resulting in the accumulation of expertise and skills. By closely communicating through the head office's design department and web conferences, the company aims to shorten production time and improve quality.

D-RAWRITE d.o.o Beograd started full operation from the third quarter of December 2022. Like D-RAWRITE INC., it contributes to the internal production of the company's 3D image perspective. The main advantages include 1) abundant knowledge and skilled personnel in design, and 2) the ability to utilize the time difference between Tokyo and Serbia (approximately 8 hours) effectively for seamless business progress.

In April 2021, it absorbed and merged (株)サティスワン, which focuses on communication design in business areas such as branding and promotion. It aims to provide a comprehensive creative proposal as a comprehensive creative company.
