■ Business overview of Draft <5070>
a) Activity-Based Working (ABW)
The company's proposed office space design incorporates the concept of ABW. ABW is a work style concept advocated by Veldhoen+Company in the Netherlands, allowing individuals to freely choose their work location based on their job requirements and achieve a more productive way of working. ABW defines 10 types of work styles, including "high concentration," "co-working," "video calls," and "recharge," and aims to create an optimal environment for each. The company's original products are designed to accommodate work styles such as "dialogue," "high concentration," and "idea generation."
Efforts towards work-style reform aim to improve labor productivity, replacing routine work such as standardized tasks with PRA and AI, and creating a workplace suitable for creative work regardless of occupation or industry. The company has been proposing the concept of a creative office space since its founding, and it is predicted that it will be even more widely accepted as an office space that meets the current trend.
b) Product Brand "201°" (NIHYAKU-ICHI-DO)
The company has been planning and selling the original product brand "201°" that is compatible with ABW and other new work styles since 2017. The brand name expresses the desire to create something with a slightly different perspective by adding 1° to the average human field of view, which is said to be 200°. It offers a total of 18 types of products, including booths that can easily create concentration spaces and meeting benches that are perfect for casual meetings, and it is characterized by a basic color scheme that fits any space and a focus on the texture of the materials and delicate details. In 2018, the brand's concentration booth "COOM" won the Best of Year Award in the Product Desk category at the international design award "The Best of Year Award 2018" hosted by the renowned design magazine "Interior Design."
c) "DAFT about DRAFT"
The company launched a new brand called "DAFT about DRAFT" in April 2022, which creates products with a free and delicate fashion-like concept that can be enjoyed for a long time. In August 2022, a flagship store was opened in Omotesando, Tokyo. Directed by Mr. Yamashita, the store offers original design furniture and selected items from overseas brands that add color to people's lives.
The same brand achieved participation in the prestigious Milan Salone International Furniture Fair, which showcases the cutting edge of furniture and interior design, in April 2023, one year after its establishment. Despite the strict screening imposed by the organizers, the brand was highly evaluated for its uniqueness and creativity, and gained the right to participate. This demonstrates the brand's strong design capability and presence in the global market. It continued to participate in the fair in April 2024. Its selection to exhibit in a limited area reserved for a few companies indicates its high level of attention. Going forward, the brand aims to further strengthen its branding.
d) Overseas Awards
Wantedly's office received an Honorable Mention at the IDA Design Awards 2015, organized by the International Design Awards Association in the United States. The same office also won the Best Award in the Small & Medium Business Division of the Liveable Office Award 2016, which celebrates outstanding offices in the Asia-Pacific region organized by Herman Miller in the United States. In 2017, the company's designed Dip <2379> headquarters office won the Bronze Award at the Spark Awards, a competition that covers the field of design held annually in New York, USA.
