Today's growth market, both TOPIX Growth Market Index and TOPIX Growth Market 250 Index, have risen for the third consecutive day. The number of advancing issues is 294, declining issues 247, unchanged 37.

The U.S. stock market rebounded significantly on the 19th. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 42,025.19, up 522.09 (+1.26%), the Nasdaq rose 440.68 points (+2.51%) to 18,013.98, and the S&P 500 ended trading at 5,713.64, up 95.38 points (+1.70%). Weekly initial jobless claims hit a 4-month low, easing concerns about labor market slowdown, leading to an uptrend after the opening. Furthermore, the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) significant interest rate cut worked, increasing expectations that the economy would avoid a sharp downturn and sustain a soft landing, which further boosted the market. The tech sector also provided support and expanded gains towards the end of the session.

Following the significant rebound in the U.S. stock market, the growth market started trading in a buying mode. The Growth Market 250 Index rose to the 670-point range for the first time since September 3, but with investment focus shifting to large-cap stocks in the main board, the leading stocks in the growth market saw mixed performances. After an initial wave of buying, the Growth Market 250 Index narrowed its gains and faced resistance at higher levels.
