On the industry side, the current per capita dairy consumption in the country is still far below the global and Asian average levels. The growth of raw milk supply exceeds the growth of demand, leading to an imbalance between supply and demand, which in the short term drives down the retail price of dairy products.

In the future, with the diversification of consumer demand and the continuous optimization and upgrading of the dairy supply structure, the consumption potential of the dairy industry will continue to be unleashed.

Fangzhen Securities' research report pointed out that the weak recovery of dairy product demand is continuing, with a moderate recovery expected in the second half of the year. The dividend from raw milk will continue, bullish on national leading dairy companies and the stable performance of regional dairy companies.

Looking at the medium to long term, China's per capita consumption of dairy products still has considerable room for growth, and the development of categories and regions is uneven. In the medium to long term, demand is expected to continue to grow in the second half of the year. It is expected that the industry demand side will still be in a state of moderate recovery, and the balance between supply and demand for raw milk will take time. Against the background of continuously declining raw milk prices, the industry's gross margin level is expected to have room for improvement.

With better destocking in the first half of the year, it is expected that the leading companies in the industry will narrow their cost allocations in the second half of the year, and are expected to continuously improve their net margin through the improvement of product structure.
