ANA Akindo Co., Ltd. Akita Branch (Location: Akita City, Akita Prefecture Manager: Hiroshi Kotani, hereinafter referred to as 'ANA Akindo Akita Branch'), aiming to strengthen the reception system for 'workations,' one of Akita Prefecture's 'new ways of working,' to solidify and expand the relationship between visitors and Akita, and to create a population of stakeholders, etc., has won the 'Akita de Workation Coordination System Strengthening Project' for planning and operation, and is implementing it. On September 24 (Tuesday), the first online seminar was held to learn why workations are pursued, specific ways to utilize workations as a means for sustainable community development, and methods for establishing reception systems for targets and regions.
This time, targeting regional businesses in Akita Prefecture, we will clarify the roles of each entity within the region and conduct workshops in Haga Town, Akita Prefecture on October 16 (Wednesday) and Oga City, Akita Prefecture on December 6 (Friday) in order to build a self-sustaining workation reception system and strengthen the region's network.
The regional coordinator roles for the workshops will be taken on by Mr. Yuji Muraoka, representative of Yado & Kissa UGOHUB in Haga Town, and Mr. Shin Saruta in Oga City. In addition, we will welcome Mr. Ryota Morishige, from Nankishirahama Airport Co., Ltd., who has served as an advisor for the origin of workations in Wakayama Prefecture, known as a sacred place, and has practiced attracting approximately 3,000 workation projects from about 200 companies there, as well as serving as an advisor for the Tourism Agency's workation project and as a regional advisor across the country, to explore the future vision of the region utilizing workations with the participants.
