截止本公告发布之日，公司拥有营运中的100%权益油轮达到59艘，其中VLCC52艘，Aframax油轮7艘；在手订单14艘，其中VLCC6艘，Aframax8艘，将于2024年至2028年陆续交付。China Merchants Energy Shipping (601872.SH) announced on September 29th that on September 28, 2024, the company acquired a 0.115 million deadweight tonnage Aframax oil tanker named Kaihe from its wholly-owned single ship subsidiary in Dalian Shipyard.
This vessel is the second of the 5 Aframax oil tankers ordered by the company from 2021 to 2023, designed as a new generation of energy-saving and environmentally friendly oil tankers equipped with desulfurization scrubbers.
After the delivery of the Kaihe, it is planned to be deployed in the Western (Americas) market. The gradual delivery and operation of this series of ships will optimize the company's tanker fleet's vessel type and age structure, strengthen the synergy between the Aframax fleet and the VLCC fleet, further expand the company's global operation coverage, and enhance the ability to serve customers.
As of the date of this announcement, the company owns and operates 59 oil tankers, with 100% equity, including 52 VLCCs and 7 Aframax oil tankers. There are 14 vessels on order, including 6 VLCCs and 8 Aframax, which will be delivered gradually from 2024 to 2028.
