Wharf Real Estate Investment's (HKG:1997) Five-year Decline in Earnings Translates Into Losses for Shareholders

Wharf Real Estate Investment Company Limited (HKG:1997) shareholders should be happy to see the share price up 28% in the last quarter. But over the last half decade, the stock has not performed well. After all, the share price is down 37% in that time, significantly under-performing the market.

Although the past week has been more reassuring for shareholders, they're still in the red over the last five years, so let's see if the underlying business has been responsible for the decline.
