On September 19, 2024, the company's indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, Goldensolar (Quanzhou), has entered into a joint venture agreement with Juhua (Fujian Juhua Electric Power Co., Ltd.) and Longi (Xi'an Longi Leye Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd.). The contracting parties agreed to establish a joint venture company with a registered capital of RMB 0.659 billion. After establishment, the joint venture company will be owned by Juhua, Goldensolar (Quanzhou), and Longi with 52.51%, 27.31%, and 20.18% equity respectively.
The contracting parties have decided to establish a joint venture company to produce HBC cecep solar energy cells, upgrading Longi's Xi'an aerospace industry base's four PERC production lines to high-efficiency HBC production lines. After meeting the requirements of various aspects such as efficiency and quality specified in the relevant contracts, the contracting parties plan for the joint venture company to sell most of the produced HBC cecep solar energy cells to Longi or its affiliated companies for further assembly into components for sale. The announcement stated that the new HBC product technology offers higher efficiency and other advantages.
