Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market Index fell sharply, with speculations conflicting following the results of the LDP leadership election.

The TSE Growth Market Index is at 831.49, down 27.58 points, with a volume of 0.1 billion 55.77 million shares and a transaction value of 121.5 billion yen.

The TSE Growth Market 250 Index is at 652.63, down 23.12 points, with a volume of 0.1 billion 25.68 million shares and a transaction value of 108.3 billion yen.

Today in the growth market, both the TSE Growth Market Index and TSE Growth Market 250 Index experienced significant declines. The number of gainers was 90, decliners were 479, and unchanged were 19.

On the 27th, in the U.S. market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 42,313.00, up 137.89 points, while the Nasdaq ended trading at 18,119.59, down 70.70 points. The market opened higher after the August PCE price index proved the continued trend of inflation easing, supporting a significant rate cut. The Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index also exceeded expectations, propelling Dow higher. Despite concerns over the deterioration of the situation in the Middle East towards the end, the market set new record highs. Nasdaq was impacted by the decline of Nvidia in the semiconductor sector, turning downward and finishing mixed.

The TSE Growth Market Index started declining and continued to expand its losses. After the initial wave of selling, the market oscillated around the 836 points level. In the afternoon, there was a slightly bearish trend, with focus limited to some stocks.

Individually, Astroscale <186A> had the highest decline of 18.55%. Speculative buying related to the LDP presidential election victory by Mr. Takamichi had been anticipated in space-related stocks, causing a reactive movement in companies like QPS Research Institute <5595>. Cybersecurity-related stocks like FFRI Security <3692> also shed speculative buying sentiments. Among the top traded stocks, GNI <2160> and Cover <5253> saw declines. In the list of top declining stocks, Rice Curry <195A>, Kaoris <153A>, and KaizenPF <4170> were ranked.

On the other hand, Astroscale <5616> saw the highest increase of 28.60%. Following Mr. Ishiba's victory in the presidential election, besides Astroscale, other companies like FLN <9241>, Hope <6195>, Valnavarbi <3418> were sought after for regional revitalization. Among the top traded stocks, GENDA <9166> and Libelware <218A> rose. Ishin <143A>, Itami Art <168A>, and Grandis <3261> were ranked in the list of top gaining stocks.

In the component stocks of the TSE Growth Market Core Index, Benrishit.com <6027>, Free <4478>, TKP <3479> among others experienced declines.
