Nippon Ham Co., Ltd.

Nippon Ham Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka, President: Nobuhisa Igawa) will release the first new flavor in 5 years from "Schauessen", the "Schauessen Night Flavor", on October 1st (Tuesday) for a limited time.
The eating scene of Schauessen accounts for about 80% of the total, with breakfast and lunch.
This new "Schauessen Night Flavor" features a rich and spicy taste, and is the first "dinner" product from "Schauessen". The most recommended cooking method is not the previously recommended boiling method, but rather "grilled cooking". With "dinner" in mind, we recommend for the first time a cooking method that has not been recommended for a long time, so that the rich spices stand out.
In addition, in conjunction with the release, a new commercial will be sequentially released from Tuesday, October 1, 2024, titled "What is the taste of the night?".

- Unlike traditional boiling, grilling is recommended.

Within the company, 'grilling' is considered a 'forbidden technique'.

Shawessen has a long history of recommending 'boil cooking' rather than 'bake cooking' to maintain its crispy and delicious taste since its creation.
Although 'boil cooking' is considered the best way to enjoy Shawessen, it was known that many customers prefer to eat Shawessen by 'bake cooking'.
This time, when launching a new flavor of Shawessen, we conducted a survey on the 'cooking method of Shawessen' targeting our employees. As a result, 88% of the employees who responded have cooked Shawessen by 'baking' at home, even though they recognize 'baking' as a 'forbidden move'. The main reasons given were that the 'distinct aroma of baking is good' and 'it arouses appetite'.
We still recommend boiling traditional Shawessen, but 'Shawessen Night Flavor' stands out with rich spices when cooked in a frying pan, etc. Please enjoy the delicious taste of 'Shawessen Night Flavor' by grilling it.

CM story.

The CM starts with the question 'When do you eat Shawessen?' As the survey data 'about 80% in the morning and noon' appears in line with the scene of a woman enjoying Shawessen for breakfast. Feeling a desperate desire for people to also eat it at night, the Shawessen developers push the breakfast scene with a shout of 'Please also eat it at night!' A man with a satisfied expression appears, enjoying the grilled 'Shawessen Night Flavor' for dinner. As the night flavor and cabbage are grilled juicy, an appetite-stimulating moment, keywords like 'What's the night flavor?' appear to tickle curiosity. In the final scene, the developers gaze up at the crescent moon representing the night sky floating 'Shawessen Night Flavor', and the CM ends with the new product package and the copy 'For those who want to eat at night'.
