Fujifilm Business Innovation Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naoki Hama), a subsidiary of ours, has acquired all shares from Ripcord Inc., in which Fujifilm RIPCORD LLC (Headquarters: Ashigarakami District, Kanagawa, CEO: Koichi Yamaguchi), our consolidated subsidiary, held a 22.5% stake, making Fujifilm RIPCORD a 100% subsidiary as of October 1, 2024.
In 2020, we established Fujifilm RIPCORD as a joint venture with Ripcord Inc. in the United States. Fujifilm RIPCORD has contributed to the digital shift of paper documents owned by government agencies, financial, real estate, and manufacturing industries, based on the document characteristics, by quickly digitizing a large amount of paper documents using robotics technology and AI, and providing a data utilization environment.
By making Fujifilm RIPCORD a wholly-owned subsidiary, we can lead the development of new services, entry into new markets, and enable agile business operations. Specifically, through collaboration between their services and various solutions of Fujifilm Business Innovation, utilizing data, and leveraging a variety of technologies such as image processing and AI, strengths of the Fujifilm group, more detailed service deployment tailored to market needs can be achieved. We will continue the cooperative relationship with Ripcord Inc., including technical support.
In the future, we will provide high value-added solutions and services that enable the utilization of large amounts of data stored in the cloud, supporting customer DX from End to End.

Established in September 2020 through a joint venture between Fujifilm Business Innovation Corporation and the US company Ripcord. They have set up a Digital Service Operations Center in Japan, utilizing robotics technology and AI to swiftly digitize large amounts of paper documents, extracting and providing attribute information for each document through OCR. Furthermore, they support the total construction of a data utilization environment, contributing to the promotion of customer DX.
