本件は、玄海原子力発電所３、４号機の原子炉設置変更許可処分（2017年１月18日付）の取消請求について、佐賀地方裁判所が棄却した判決（2021年３月12日付）を不服として、2021年３月25日に控訴されたものです。当社は、原審に引き続き訴訟参加しております。当社は、玄海原子力発電所の原子炉設置変更許可処分に違法な点はなく、原判決は妥当なものである旨主張し、控訴の棄却を求めております。Today, at the Fukuoka High Court, the oral arguments for the litigation in question were held as follows.

1. Motion to halt operation appeal hearing: 12th oral argument
This case concerns the appeal filed on March 25, 2021, challenging the decision by the Saga District Court to dismiss the motion to halt the operation of Units 3 and 4 of the Genkai nuclear power plant (dated March 12, 2021). We argue that there is no specific serious risk of accidents as claimed by the appellant, and that the original decision was valid, seeking the dismissal of the appeal.
This time, the appellant himself was questioned.
2. Administrative litigation appeal hearing: 11th oral argument
This case involves the appeal filed on March 25, 2021, challenging the decision by the Saga District Court to dismiss the request to cancel the approval for the reactor installation changes for Units 3 and 4 of the Genkai nuclear power plant (dated January 18, 2017). We continue to participate in the litigation as in the original trial. We argue that there are no illegal points in the approval for the reactor installation changes at the Genkai nuclear power plant, affirming the validity of the original decision and seeking the dismissal of the appeal.
