Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. will refresh the uniforms for employees working domestically from October 2024.
The full model change of the uniforms is the first time in about 40 years since 1982. Many employees participated in the planning and development of the new uniform, which is the third generation counted from the first generation, from conception to design and specification considerations.
The new uniform, which pursues "high safety and work quality," consists of a jacket, pants, and cap in a black-based design. It features a detailed design that enhances business comfort, such as a three-dimensional structure using lightweight and easy-to-move stretch material, various functional pockets, and a sophisticated design that shines both individually and collectively.
In the development process, opinions and requests were collected from a wide range of employees, including gender, age, manufacturing, and administrative positions, to create 14 prototype designs. Based on the prototype design with the highest support in an online vote open to all domestic group company employees, feedback from over 0.01 million opinions and requests, internal exhibitions, and comments from monitor wear tests, the design and specifications were finalized.
The new uniform is workwear designed for each individual to work with liveliness and pride in the changing work environment including diverse working styles, changing workforce demographics, climate change, and evolving workplace conditions.
