Altan Holdings Berhad has announced that it has received official notifications, Forms E and F under the Land Acquisition Act, regarding the compulsory acquisition of land currently owned by its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Cergasjaya Sdn. Bhd. and Cergasjaya Properties, in Kedah. The acquired lands have been gazetted as commercial property under the Free Zone Act 1990.

阿爾坦控股集團宣佈其全資子公司Cergasjaya Sdn. Bhd.和Cergasjaya Properties目前擁有的土地已收到《土地徵用法》下的官方通知,E和F表格。被徵收的土地已被劃定爲1990年《自由區法案》下的商業地產,位於吉打。

The acquisition, initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs Malaysia and administered by the Department of Director General of Lands & Mines Kedah (Pejabat Pengarah Tanah dan Galian Negeri Kedah, or "PTG Kedah"), is intended for a road construction project. The new road will connect the Bukit Kayu Hitam ICQS Complex in Kedah to the CIQ Sadao facility in Thailand, a critical development for cross-border transportation.

這項收購由馬來西亞內政部啓動,並由吉打州(Kedah)國土和礦山總監處(Pejabat Pengarah Tanah dan Galian Negeri Kedah,簡稱「PTG Kedah」)管理,旨在進行一項道路施工項目。新道路將連接吉打的Bukit Kayu Hitam ICQS複合大樓與泰國CIQ Sadao設施,這是一項跨境運輸的重要發展。

Altan Holdings stated that Cergasjaya, the owner and operator of the Duty-Free Complex in Bukit Kayu Hitam, has been engaged in retail operations at the site since 1988. Meanwhile, Cergasjaya Properties (CPPA) holds leases for three plots of land within the area, which have been designated as a Free Zone since 1996.

The group expressed concerns about the impending closure of its duty-free business at Bukit Kayu Hitam due to the land acquisition. This division has been a significant contributor to Altan's financial performance, accounting for approximately 24% of the company's revenue, according to its latest audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending on 29 February 2024.

該集團對因土地徵用而即將關閉位於Bukit Kayu Hitam的免稅業務表示關注。根據其截至2024年2月29日的最新審計財務報表,該部門一直是阿爾坦財務表現的重要貢獻者,大約佔公司營業收入的24%。

While the inquiry process for determining compensation is still ongoing, Altan Holdings has indicated that it will be represented by its legal advisors to ensure fair and adequate compensation, in line with protections guaranteed by the Federal Constitution.
