Information on the 14th Ricoh Cup Women's Crown Title Match Five-Game Matchup Players and Schedule

Ricoh Co., Ltd. (President and COO, Daiyama Akira, located in Ota-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as Ricoh) and the Japan Shogi Association, a public interest incorporated foundation (Chairman, Yoshiharu Habu, located in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as the Shogi Association) will host the schedule and venue of the first game of the 14th Ricoh Cup Women's Oza Tournament as follows. Details for the second game and beyond will be announced once they are confirmed.

Kana Fukuma Women's Oza (Seirei, Women's Meijin, Women's Oshi, Kurashiki Fukika) vs. Tomoka Nishiyama Women's Sankan (Shirarei, Joou, Women's Oushou)

Schedule

1st game on October 23, Tokyo Bunkyo-ku Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo 2nd game late February Osaka Takatsuki City Kansai Shogi Kaikan 3rd game onwards from March onwards Tokyo Shibuya-ku Shogi Kaikan

The Ricoh Cup Women's Oza Tournament, established on March 10, 2011, is now in its 14th period. The winner will be awarded the title of Women's Oza and a prize of 5 million yen.

Kana Fukuma Women's Oza won the previous period's 13th Oza Tournament against challenger Momoko Kato Women's Yondan with a score of 3 wins and 1 loss, securing her 7th overall Women's Oza title. On the other hand, challenger Tomoka Nishiyama Women's Sankan makes her first appearance in the Women's Oza Tournament five-game match after 3 years since the 11th period, aiming for her third overall title.

Regarding the schedule for the five-game match

Upon receiving the leave of absence notice submitted to the Japan Shogi Association from the Fukuma Kana Women's Ryuo, the Women's Ryuo Tournament Committee, consisting of the Japan Shogi Association and Ricoh, discussed the response and decided for this season to hold the Women's Ryuo Tournament starting from the second game after Fukuma's return from the leave of absence. We will inform you of the details as soon as they are finalized.
