Simply Wall St ·  22:52

Viewing insider transactions for J&T Global Express Limited's (HKG:1519 ) over the last year, we see that insiders were net buyers. This means that a larger number of shares were purchased by insiders in relation to shares sold.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At J&T Global Express

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Non-Executive Director Yuan Zhang for HK$25m worth of shares, at about HK$6.15 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, at around the current price, which is HK$6.75. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. We do always like to see insider buying, but it is worth noting if those purchases were made at well below today's share price, as the discount to value may have narrowed with the rising price. Happily, the J&T Global Express insider decided to buy shares at close to current prices. Yuan Zhang was the only individual insider to buy during the last year.
