The Tokyo Stock Exchange announced that it will increase the initial margin requirement for margin trading of the company's shares from the 4th, to over 70% (including over 40% cash), leading to selling pressure from investors wary of credit regulations, but the market has rebounded. Japan Securities Finance also announced changes to the additional collateral collection measures, increasing the collateralization rate for the self-trading portion of securities lending transactions since the same day, and for the collateralization rate of non-clearing participants, raising it from the current 50% (including 20% in cash collateral) to 70% (including 40% in cash collateral).
