The Nikkei average is up 20 yen (as of 14:40). In terms of Nikkei average contribution, First Retail <9983>, Advantest <6857>, Terumo <4543>, etc. are among the top positive contributors, while Tohoku Electric <8035>, SoftBank G <9984>, TDK <6762>, etc. are among the top negative contributors. In sectors, mining, oil & coal products, electricity & gas industry, banking, pulp & paper are among the top gainers, while marine transportation, transportation equipment, electric appliances, chemicals, warehousing transportation are among the top losers in terms of percentage change.

The Nikkei average is relatively unchanged. In the USA tonight, the September US employment statistics will be released, drawing high market interest. Additionally, a speech by Williams, President of the New York Federal Reserve, is scheduled.
