Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (located in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, President: Makoto Uchida), announced that its Indian subsidiary, Nissan India, will introduce a minor change to the compact SUV 'Magnite' produced and sold in India, starting from the same day. The new 'Magnite' adopts a more sophisticated design, numerous advanced technologies, and a high-efficiency powertrain, along with additional safety equipment. In addition, starting from 2025, they plan to begin exporting to new left-hand drive markets and aim to export to more than 65 markets from India by 2026, targeting a level of 0.1 million units.

Nissan positions India as a major production hub in its management plan 'The Arc' and plans to offer a wide range of product lineups to customers in Africa, the Middle East, and India by introducing the 'Magnite' to the region.

Bold styling and advanced technology
The exterior of the new 'Magnite' features a design that exudes sturdiness, incorporating LED lights at the front and rear, combined with alloy wheels and roof rails.

The interior space includes a new TFT display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto that seamlessly connect with smartphones, as well as a wireless smartphone charger. Additionally, by adopting adjustable ambient lighting in four colors, the comfort of the interior has been further improved.

As new features, it includes the remote engine start, auto lock upon exit and unlock upon approach functions, cooling function-equipped glove box, and an air ionizer, among others.

In addition, all grades are equipped with six airbags. The body uses reinforced steel, and automatic dimming rearview mirrors are also adopted.

High-efficiency powertrain.
The new "Magnite" is equipped with a turbocharged 1.0-liter engine and offers both a manual transmission and a CVT. By combining these, it provides an optimal balance of fuel efficiency and responsiveness.

Optimal specifications for driving in urban areas.
The "Magnite" has a compact body size ideal for driving in urban areas, while achieving seating for 5 people with a wide wheelbase. It also features an around-view monitor to support parking in tight spaces.

Expanding exports from 2025.
The "Magnite" was newly introduced in December 2020 and has established a strong presence in India. Nissan India has exported the "Magnite" to 20 right-hand drive markets, with cumulative sales exceeding 0.15 million units in both domestic and overseas markets. Starting from 2025, exports to left-hand drive markets for the revised "Magnite" will commence, aiming for export levels of around 0.1 million units, the largest for vehicles produced by Nissan in Africa, the Middle East, India, and Oceania. Through exporting the "Magnite," India will become a key export hub for Nissan in the AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania) region alongside the UK.
