Bursa Suspends Pertama Digital's IDSS

Business Today ·  Oct 7 21:50

Bursa Securities announced that the short selling under the Intraday Short Selling (IDSS) for Pertama Digital Bhd has been suspended for the rest of the day.

"The suspension is due to the last done price for the company dropped more than 15% or 15 sen from its reference price.

"The short selling will only be activated on Wednesday (Oct 9) at 8.30am," Bursa said.

On Oct 5, Bursa have maintained the company's Lower Limit Price at RM0.785 due to the counter trading at Static Limit Down prices for two consecutive trading days.

The stock took a sharp dive from RM2.07 to close at RM0.78 on last Friday closing, Bursa had issued an Unusual Market Activity query on the drop with the group responding that it is unaware on the reasons for the sell-off and assured stakeholders that the company remains strong and well positioned for sustainable growth.

Notably, the group has received an extension of time from Bursa to submit its regularisation plan by the first week of February 2025. This extension will allow Pertama Digital to finalise several key initiatives, including the proposed acquisition of a controlling stake in Kridentia Tech Sdn Bhd.
