1. Changguang Huaxi's radar and optical communication business expansion may contribute revenue in Q4 this year; 2. The company has deployed in the industrial laser and sensor fields, actively developing laser medical and medical beauty related products.
Star Daily News on October 8th (Reporter: Huang Xiumei) "Affected by factors such as the global economic slowdown, the overall demand for laser market is weak. Based on the current economic situation, strategic layout, and product progress, the company expects the full-year revenue in 2024 to remain at the same level as last year (29 million yuan)." Changguang Huaxi's Chairman and General Manager Min Dayong stated at the 2024 semi-annual performance briefing.
Changguang Huaxi focuses on the semiconductor laser industry, focusing on the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of core components of the semiconductor laser industry such as semiconductor laser chips, devices, and modules.
From an operational perspective, from the second quarter of 2023 to the second quarter of this year, the company has incurred losses for five consecutive single quarters, and the net income attributable to shareholders for each of the aforementioned quarters has significantly decreased year-on-year.
In response, Min Dayong addressed investors' questions at today's (October 8th) performance briefing: "Regarding the losses in the past two years, the company is implementing various countermeasures and actively exploring the market."

In terms of exploring new markets, in recent years Changguang Huaxin has increased its focus on the optoelectronics field dominated by datacenter applications, launching three major new product categories: VCSEL, EML, and DFB. These three products currently have good validation from domestic leading optical module manufacturers," Min Dayong stated.
Min Dayong also stated, 'Despite the small proportion of car-mounted lidar, technological convergence is nearing completion, facilitating mass production. It is expected that the radar and optoelectronics fields may contribute to revenue in the fourth quarter of this year.'
The Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily noted that Changguang Huaxin has increased its external investment efforts while laying out its semiconductor laser technology.
Min Dayong stated that the company has already established a presence in the industrial laser and sensor fields, and is currently actively developing laser medical and cosmetic products. 'We hope to leverage the advantages of semiconductor laser chips covering the full wavelength in the health industry, achieving the electronic transformation of medical and consumer electronics.'
Changguang Huaxin also mentioned in an investor briefing in September this year that the company is also planning to invest in the laser medical and cosmetic fields.
It is worth mentioning that among the relevant enterprises in the laser field of the Science and Technology Innovation Board, companies like Hymson Laser Technology Group, Juguang Technology, etc., have clearly stated this year that they are actively laying out the laser medical and cosmetic industry.
Among them, in an investor briefing on September 18 this year, Hymson Laser Technology Group mentioned that the company is currently advancing the application for medical instrument certificates for Class II and Class III medical devices. Among the indications for Class III medical devices, the fastest to achieve commercialization are products related to hair regeneration and collagen regeneration. Clinical trials are currently underway.
Hymson Laser Technology Group's related products have been applied in the field of skin rejuvenation, tender skin, and fat dissolving. They previously announced an international patent application named 'Optical Spot Shaping Device and Laser Processing Equipment', with an international publication date of June 13th this year.
