Owens Corning, Synovus Financial, Diamondback Energy And More On CNBC's 'Final Trades'

On CNBC's "Halftime Report Final Trades," Anastasia Amoroso of iCapital named The Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (NYSE:XLF), saying the financial sector is set to report earnings at the end of the week. Although this quarter is not going to be great, but she believes it will be better going forward.

Bill Baruch of Blue Line Capital named Owens Corning (NYSE:OC) as his final trade.

On Oct. 7, Wells Fargo analyst Sam Reid maintained Owens-Corning with an Equal-Weight and raised the price target from $165 to $175.

Brian Belski of BMO Capital said Synovus Financial Corp. (NYSE:SNV) has a 3.5% dividend yield.

Synovus Financial will announce third quarter earnings results after the closing bell on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at $1.08 per share, up from 84 cents per share in the year-ago period. The company projects to report quarterly revenue of $559.44 million.

Joseph M. Terranova of Virtus Investment Partners picked Diamondback Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ:FANG), an energy name, amid a surge in oil prices.

On Oct. 4, BMO Capital analyst Phillip Jungwirth upgraded Diamondback Energy from Market Perform to Outperform and raised the price target from $205 to $215.
